This skills-building workshop will help you to:
-Understand what
policy is and how you can shape and improve policies in your communities;
-Increase knowledge
about nutrition education, consumer access, school food; and
-Brainstorm policy
change actions regarding those topics and create an initial action plan for making
change in your communities.

Travel & Lodging :
We have conveniently arranged the training locations within a 2-hour drive for the majority of our diabetes coalitions that are within our network. Travel and lodging expenses will not be supported by Marshall University. However, Marshall University will authorize coalitions who are more than 2-hours away to use their grant dollars for travel expenses or lodging accommodations if necessary. Light refreshments & lunch provided. We ask that you and other members of your coalition register for the Good Laws, Good Food; Skills Building Workshop by April 5th
