This year\u2019s workshop theme is<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s All About Prevention\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Tuesday, August 6th<\/sup> sessions will cover the various aspects of providing comprehensive exams, <\/em><\/h4>\n

including dental, vision and hearing screening, reproductive health, and age appropriate risk assessment. <\/em><\/h4>\n

Sessions were specifically chosen to address the unique needs of each member of the health care delivery team.<\/em><\/h4>\n

For the Pre-Conference on Monday, August 5th<\/sup>, we are offering a half-day<\/em><\/h4>\n


\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Adolescent Suicide: Assessing and Managing Risk<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

With Barri Faucett, ASPEN Project Director<\/em><\/h4>\n

<\/em><\/h4>\n

Participants will learn recognition of risk factors for suicide, and the evidence-based <\/em><\/h4>\n

\u201cQuestion, Persuade, Refer\u201d gatekeeper model of intervention.<\/em><\/h4>\n

Participants will understand simple best practices in interacting with at-risk youth <\/em><\/h4>\n

and will become acquainted with tools and resources for preventing adolescent suicide.<\/em><\/h4>\n

<\/em><\/h4>\n

Also on Monday, August 5th<\/sup> we are offering a 2-hour workshop<\/em><\/h4>\n

School-Health 101 \u2013 The First Year<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

This session is designed for those new to school-based health. <\/em><\/h4>\n

Various models for providing medical, mental and oral health in a school setting will be shared.<\/em><\/h4>\n

Registration is FREE!<\/em><\/strong> <\/em> A complete agenda will be posted soon.<\/h2>\n

Lunch and breaks will be provided at no cost.<\/h4>\n

Registration is CLOSED<\/span><\/h4>\n

We will have space for displays as well as to showcase story-boards of your special projects.<\/h4>\n
