This year’s workshop theme is

It’s All About Prevention”

Tuesday, August 6th sessions will cover the various aspects of providing comprehensive exams,

including dental, vision and hearing screening, reproductive health, and age appropriate risk assessment.

Sessions were specifically chosen to address the unique needs of each member of the health care delivery team.

For the Pre-Conference on Monday, August 5th, we are offering a half-day


Adolescent Suicide: Assessing and Managing Risk

With Barri Faucett, ASPEN Project Director

Participants will learn recognition of risk factors for suicide, and the evidence-based

“Question, Persuade, Refer” gatekeeper model of intervention.

Participants will understand simple best practices in interacting with at-risk youth

and will become acquainted with tools and resources for preventing adolescent suicide.

Also on Monday, August 5th we are offering a 2-hour workshop


School-Health 101 – The First Year

This session is designed for those new to school-based health.

Various models for providing medical, mental and oral health in a school setting will be shared.

Registration is FREE! A complete agenda will be posted soon.

Lunch and breaks will be provided at no cost.

Registration is CLOSED

We will have space for displays as well as to showcase story-boards of your special projects.
